1 medium onion, diced

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup

1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup

2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (divided)

2 cups beef broth

1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

1 tsp paprika

1/2 tsp salt

1/2 tsp black pepper

1 tbsp chopped parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a skillet, cook ground beef and diced onion over medium heat until beef is browned and onion is soft. Drain excess fat.
  3. Stir in garlic and cook for 1 minute. Add Worcestershire sauce, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  4. Pour in cream of mushroom soup, cream of chicken soup, and beef broth. Stir to combine and let simmer for 2–3 minutes.
  5. In a large bowl or the baking dish, mix the beef mixture with uncooked rice until evenly distributed.
  6. Spread mixture in the baking dish and top with 1 1/2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese.
  7. Cover with foil and bake for 40 minutes.
  8. Remove foil, sprinkle remaining cheese on top, and bake uncovered for 10–15 more minutes.
  9. Let rest for 5 minutes. Garnish with parsley and serve warm.
