Ingredients
For the Cake:
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup granulated sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup milk
2 large eggs
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
For the Cinnamon Swirl Filling:
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 cup brown sugar, packed
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
For the Glaze:
1 cup powdered sugar
2 tablespoons milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat & Prepare: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Make the Cake Batter: In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. In a separate bowl, mix the milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla. Combine wet and dry ingredients until smooth. Pour into the baking dish.
- Prepare Cinnamon Swirl: Mix softened butter, brown sugar, flour, and cinnamon until smooth.
- Swirl It In: Drop spoonfuls of the cinnamon mixture onto the cake batter. Use a knife to swirl it into the batter without fully mixing.
- Bake: Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Make the Glaze: Whisk powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Glaze the Cake: Let the cake cool for 10 minutes, then drizzle the glaze on top.
