1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
8 oz linguine or spaghetti
3 tablespoons unsalted butter
2 tablespoons olive oil
4 garlic cloves, minced
1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
1/2 cup dry white wine or chicken broth
Juice of 1 lemon (about 2 tablespoons)
Zest of 1 lemon
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to boil. Cook pasta until al dente, then drain and reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water.
- In a large skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter with 1 tablespoon olive oil over medium-high heat.
