Ingredients
12 oz linguine pasta
1 lb chicken breast, sliced into strips
1 tbsp olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
2 tsp smoked paprika
1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
1/2 cup unsalted butter
4 garlic cloves, minced
1 tbsp Dijon mustard
1 tbsp lemon juice
1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
1/3 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook linguine according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Season the chicken strips with salt, pepper, and smoked paprika.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook until golden and cooked through, about 5–7 minutes. Remove from skillet.
- In the same skillet, melt butter. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Stir in Dijon mustard, lemon juice, Italian seasoning, cayenne pepper, and red pepper flakes. Simmer for 2 minutes.
- Pour in heavy cream and stir. Let the sauce thicken for 2–3 minutes.
- Add Parmesan cheese and mix until melted and smooth.
- Return cooked chicken and linguine to the skillet. Toss to combine and coat in the sauce.
- Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and serve hot.
