Ingredients

12 oz linguine pasta

1 lb chicken breast, sliced into strips

1 tbsp olive oil

Salt and pepper to taste

2 tsp smoked paprika

1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)

1/2 cup unsalted butter

4 garlic cloves, minced

1 tbsp Dijon mustard

1 tbsp lemon juice

1/2 tsp Italian seasoning

1/4 tsp cayenne pepper

1/3 cup heavy cream

1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook linguine according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Season the chicken strips with salt, pepper, and smoked paprika.
  3. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook until golden and cooked through, about 5–7 minutes. Remove from skillet.
  4. In the same skillet, melt butter. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  5. Stir in Dijon mustard, lemon juice, Italian seasoning, cayenne pepper, and red pepper flakes. Simmer for 2 minutes.
  6. Pour in heavy cream and stir. Let the sauce thicken for 2–3 minutes.
  7. Add Parmesan cheese and mix until melted and smooth.
  8. Return cooked chicken and linguine to the skillet. Toss to combine and coat in the sauce.
  9. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and serve hot.
