Ingredients
2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1 packet (1 oz) ranch seasoning mix
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
6 slices cooked bacon, crumbled
1/2 cup chicken broth
1 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
1/2 teaspoon onion powder (optional)
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)
1/4 cup chopped green onions or parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of the slow cooker and pour in the chicken broth.
- In a bowl, mix softened cream cheese, ranch seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and smoked paprika. Spread evenly over the chicken.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is tender.
- Shred the chicken directly in the slow cooker using two forks and mix it with the creamy sauce.
- Add the shredded cheddar cheese and crumbled bacon, stirring well. Cover and cook for another 5-10 minutes until the cheese melts.
- Garnish with chopped green onions or parsley. Serve on buns, over rice, pasta, or as a dip.
