Ingredients

For the Chicken:

2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 tablespoon butter

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

Salt and black pepper to taste

1/4 teaspoon paprika

For the Sauce and Pasta:

8 oz rotini pasta (or any twisted pasta)

2 tablespoons butter

4 garlic cloves, minced

1 tablespoon all-purpose flour

1 cup milk (whole or 2%)

1/2 cup heavy cream

1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

Salt and black pepper to taste

Fresh parsley for garnish


Instructions

  1. Bring a pot of salted water to a boil and cook rotini pasta until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Season chicken breasts with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. In a skillet, heat olive oil and butter over medium-high. Sear chicken 4–5 minutes each side until golden and cooked through. Let rest, then slice.
  4. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium. Add butter and garlic, sauté until fragrant.
  5. Stir in flour to make a roux. Gradually whisk in milk and cream until smooth.
  6. Add Parmesan, stirring until sauce thickens. Season with salt and pepper.
