Ingredients

For the steak:

2 ribeye or sirloin steaks (1 to 1.5 inches thick)

2 tablespoons olive oil

4 tablespoons butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

Salt and black pepper, to taste

Fresh chopped parsley (optional)

For the Alfredo tortellini:

9 oz cheese tortellini

2 tablespoons butter

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated

Salt and pepper, to taste

Pinch of nutmeg (optional)


Instructions

  1. Let steaks sit at room temperature for 30 minutes. Pat dry and season with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high. Sear steaks for 3-4 minutes per side.
  3. Add butter and garlic. Baste steaks with garlic butter for 1-2 minutes. Remove and rest.
  4. Cook tortellini per package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  5. In same skillet, melt butter. Add garlic, then stir in cream and simmer. Add Parmesan and season.
  6. Toss tortellini in sauce. Slice steak. Serve steak with tortellini and drizzle with garlic butter.
