½ teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon onion powder
2 tablespoons olive oil
For the Lemon Garlic Butter Sauce:
3 tablespoons unsalted butter
3 cloves garlic, minced
½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
½ cup heavy cream
½ cup chicken or seafood broth
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon lemon zest
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
- Prepare the Cod: Pat the cod fillets dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.

- Make the Sauce: In the same pan, reduce heat to medium and add butter. Stir in garlic and red pepper flakes, cooking until fragrant.
- Add Liquids: Pour in chicken broth, Dijon mustard, and heavy cream. Stir well and simmer for 2-3 minutes.
- Finish the Sauce: Add lemon juice, lemon zest, and parsley. Stir and let it thicken slightly.
- Combine: Return the cod to the pan, spooning the sauce over the fillets. Let it simmer for 1-2 minutes.
- Serve: Plate the cod and drizzle with extra sauce. Garnish with fresh parsley. Enjoy!
