Ingredients
12 oz penne pasta
1 lb ground beef
6 slices thick-cut bacon, cooked and crumbled
2 cups heavy cream
1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1 tbsp unsalted butter
1 tbsp olive oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
Salt and black pepper, to taste
½ tsp onion powder
½ tsp smoked paprika
Fresh chopped parsley or chives for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the penne pasta until al dente, then drain and set aside.
- In a skillet, cook the bacon until crisp. Remove and place on paper towels to drain. Chop once cooled.
- In the same skillet, brown the ground beef with onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Drain excess grease and set beef aside.
- Melt butter in the skillet, then sauté garlic until fragrant. Pour in heavy cream and let simmer.
- Stir in mozzarella and cheddar cheeses until melted and the sauce is smooth.
- Add the cooked pasta and beef into the cheese sauce. Mix well and simmer for 2-3 minutes.
- Stir in half of the bacon, reserving the rest for topping.
- Serve hot, topped with remaining bacon and garnished with parsley or chives if desired.
