Ingredients

12 oz penne pasta

1 lb ground beef

6 slices thick-cut bacon, cooked and crumbled

2 cups heavy cream

1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese

1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

1 tbsp unsalted butter

1 tbsp olive oil

2 cloves garlic, minced

Salt and black pepper, to taste

½ tsp onion powder

½ tsp smoked paprika

Fresh chopped parsley or chives for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the penne pasta until al dente, then drain and set aside.
  2. In a skillet, cook the bacon until crisp. Remove and place on paper towels to drain. Chop once cooled.
  3. In the same skillet, brown the ground beef with onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Drain excess grease and set beef aside.
  4. Melt butter in the skillet, then sauté garlic until fragrant. Pour in heavy cream and let simmer.
  5. Stir in mozzarella and cheddar cheeses until melted and the sauce is smooth.
  6. Add the cooked pasta and beef into the cheese sauce. Mix well and simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  7. Stir in half of the bacon, reserving the rest for topping.
  8. Serve hot, topped with remaining bacon and garnished with parsley or chives if desired.
