Ingredients

1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts, cubed

1/2 cup honey

1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce

1/4 cup ketchup

1 tbsp sesame oil

1 tbsp minced garlic

1 tbsp fresh grated ginger (or 1 tsp ground)

1 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

1 tbsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water (for thickening)

8 oz cooked noodles (lo mein, spaghetti, or egg noodles)

1 tbsp sesame seeds (for garnish)

2 tbsp chopped green onions or parsley (for garnish)


Instructions

  1. Cut chicken into chunks and place in slow cooker.
  2. In a bowl, mix honey, soy sauce, ketchup, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes.
  3. Pour sauce over chicken, stir to coat evenly.
  4. Cook on LOW for 4–5 hours or HIGH for 2–3 hours.
  5. Mix cornstarch with water and stir into the cooker 20 minutes before end time to thicken sauce.
  6. While sauce thickens, cook noodles according to package directions.
