Ingredients

For the Cajun Chicken:

2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning

1 tablespoon olive oil

For the Creamy Garlic Parmesan Sauce:

2 tablespoons butter

4 garlic cloves, minced

1½ cups heavy cream

1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

½ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

For the Pasta:

8 oz linguine pasta

Salt for boiling water

Garnish:

Chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Cook linguine until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water. Drain and set aside.
  2. Rub Cajun seasoning onto chicken breasts. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high. Sear chicken 5-6 minutes per side until cooked through. Let rest, then slice.
  3. Lower heat to medium. In the same skillet, melt butter and add garlic. Cook 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Add heavy cream, simmer for 3-4 minutes. Stir in Parmesan until melted and smooth. Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if desired.
  5. Toss cooked pasta into sauce, adding pasta water as needed to thin.
  6. Plate pasta, top with sliced chicken, and garnish with parsley. Serve hot.
