Ingredients

4 large sweet onions (Vidalia or Walla Walla)

12 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese

4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp onion powder

1/2 tsp smoked paprika

Salt and pepper, to taste

Optional: chopped parsley for garnish


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Slice onions into thick rings and arrange them in a greased baking dish.
  3. Mix melted butter with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  4. Drizzle butter mixture over onions.
  5. Sprinkle mozzarella, cheddar, and parmesan evenly across the onions.
  6. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  7. Remove foil and bake another 15–20 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  8. Garnish with parsley and serve warm.
