Ingredients

1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs

1 tsp salt

½ tsp black pepper

1 tsp garlic powder

2 tbsp olive oil

4 tbsp unsalted butter

5 cloves garlic, minced

¾ cup chicken broth

½ cup heavy cream

1 tsp Dijon mustard (optional)

1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley

Grated Parmesan (optional garnish)

Instructions

  1. Pat the chicken thighs dry and season both sides with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken for 5–6 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  3. Reduce heat to medium, add butter and minced garlic to the same skillet. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Stir in the chicken broth, scraping up the flavorful browned bits.
  5. Pour in heavy cream and Dijon mustard (if using), and simmer for 3–4 minutes until slightly thickened.
  6. Return chicken to skillet and spoon sauce over the top. Simmer 3–5 minutes to meld flavors.
  7. Garnish with parsley and Parmesan before serving.
