  • 2 Bosc or Anjou pears ripe but firm
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts toasted if preferred
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoons unsalted butter
  • fresh mint leaves or pomegranate seeds optional for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking dish with parchment paper or lightly grease with butter.
  • Cut pears in half lengthwise and remove seeds, creating a small well in the center.
  • Place pears cut-side up in the baking dish and drizzle lightly with lemon juice.
  • Sprinkle with cinnamon and add a small pat of butter to each pear half.
  • Fill the wells with chopped walnuts and drizzle generously with honey.
  • Bake for 25–30 minutes, basting halfway with the honey-butter mixture from the pan.
  • Serve warm or chilled, garnished with fresh mint leaves or pomegranate seeds.

Notes

Use firm, ripe pears for the best texture. Substitute walnuts with pecans or almonds if desired.
